What We Offer
Lough Corrib Angling provides a custom service aimed at taking
the hassle out of your holiday. We will arrange everything so
all you have to do is relax and enjoy your fishing in the splendid
surroundings. We are geared towards the organisation and customisation
of your trip and the following are just some of the things that
we offer:
- Airport pick-up and drop-off. Greenfields
is about 20 minutes from Galway airport and about 45 minutes
from Knock airport.
- Guided Fishing and Gillie service. (maximum
two anglers to a boat plus the guide) A days fishing usually
runs from 10am to 6pm but is totally flexible depending
on the clients needs. The duration can also be reduced if
required.
- Boat Hire. Boats will only be hired to
people with previous experience on Lough Corrib and who
already have some boat handling skills.
- Lunch (hot or cold). There is nothing
like a good steak cooked on one of the islands and a nice
glass of red to prepare you for the afternoon session. Cold
lunches are included in the price of a guided trip, a cook-up
has an additional charge.
- Equipment Hire. Equipment for all types
of fishing can be provided for those who don't trust budget airlines(!), or those who are new to fishing and want
to learn.
- Permits. Trout fishing on the Great Western Lakes is free but a state licence is required for Salmon and Sea Trout. Permits can be arranged depending on the location and type of fishing.
- Accommodation. There is a wide range
of accommodation in the area, ranging from B&B’s
and houses for rent to the elegant Ashford Castle. We will
gladly arrange and book your place to stay to suite your
taste and budget. Lough Corrib Angling only uses carefully
selected venues, who are used to catering visiting anglers
and their requirements. Alternatively you can book your
own accomodation locally.
Corporate / Large Groups can be catered for if
planned well in advance.
