Safety
Safety is a top priority at Lough Corrib Angling. Gavan is
a fully qualified member of the Irish Red Cross ‘Corrib
Mask Rescue Service’ which is a declared resource of
the Irish Coast Guard.
All members of this service are trained to a very high level
in Power Boat Handling (Advanced Level 3), Navigation, VHF
Radio and First Responder Medical training.
Life Jackets are compulsory as is the law, and safety equipment
including flares and first aid equipment are carried on board

weather forecast prior to fishing, particularly on the Great
