Lough Corrib Angling

August

The fishing during the day picks up a lot in August as fish feed freely on Sedge, Terrestrials and Daphnia. Daddy Long Legs patterns and the more modern Hoppers are used with great success a this time.

August and September are good months to try for a Salmon on the fly but it is essential to know the areas that hold fish. Large trout are frequently found among the salmon as both species start to get agitated prior to spawning.
